EL MUSICO LOCO Blisterlilly

The Blisterlily is an op-amp based overdrive pedal. What you get is a solid pedal which to build tone around.

You can use it as a dirty boost to bring out leads or push up the gain to take advantage of the tube screamer-ish technology around which it is built.

The drive function allows you to fine tune the amount of push coming from any array of pedals you put before it.

The versatility of the Blisterlily allows it to blend into your existing tone as a tool to refine or define any aspect of your tone.

After much more testing I have decided to use the 5532 dual op-amps in the Blisterlily.

You can still change it to most any dual op-amp of your choice but note the chip direction and only mess with this if you know what you are doing…please.

Check out the Lord Riffensteins review of the Blisterlily:
El Musico Loco Blisterlilly

El Musico Loco
El Musico Loco is a 1-man operation. Chris Bradford is a US ex-pat living in Spain.

He is hand-building a small but expanding range of pedals.

He hand builds the pedals himself so there’s some lead time when you order. You do get great build quality in return though.

El Musico Loco are expanding their range of pedals and have some cool stuff happening!

Blisterlilly

The Blisterlilly comes in a nice polished enclosure with a cool etched graphic. Mine has a bright green LED.

There are 4 controls at your disposal for setting up your tone: Volume, Tone, Drive and Gain. Volume and Tone are obvious, there’s plenty of boost available from the volume and although it is Tubescreamer-based, I think the Tone control is voiced a bit brighter than usual.

Gain control is more or less in the range of a Tubescreamer so this is not a high gain pedal. The Drive control is what sets this pedal apart.

Basically, it controls the input gain of the pedal, the amount of signal that gets fed to the circuit.

This control has an impact on the Gain and Tone and allows you to really fine tune the pedal.

*DC Power Supply Input: 9- volts DC Boss PSA style.
Central pin NEGATIVE(-)

*Please check in advance the compatibility between your pedal’s input polarity and the polarity of the power supply you intend to use.

The Blisterlily takes a battery but without one you need a quality, well-regulated, 2.1mm central pin NEGATIVE (-) 9 volt DC power supply.

Be warned you will get noise with a cheap power supply.

CHASE BLISS AUDIO TONAL RECALL DELAY

Ref: 2749

Forget everything you know about analog delay, this one’s different. Built around a pair of re-issued versions of the legendary MN3005 bucket-brigade delay chips, the unmistakable analog character of this delay is front and center along with its velvety tape-like modulation. Tonal Recall expands upon the classic vintage sounds associated with analog delays of yesteryear while bringing modern amenities such as tap tempo, optional bypass with trails, expression control over any parameter, and the ability to save presets. Every knob and switch is connected to a little digital brain while your guitar signal stays 100% analog the entire time and never gets digitally processed. Since the control of the effect is digital, it opens up unprecedented effects and features that have never been heard or offered in analog stompboxes.
